2016 Aria Breakthrough Artist and Triple J Award nominated singer-songwriter Montaigne took to the Corner Hotel stage late last year as part of her national tour in support of her album Glorious Heights. A truely standout vocal performance that was note perfect couldn't be ignored by the audience who cried out for more after each song.
Alexander Jackson and the Triple J Live At The Wireless Team were there yet again to capture the magic.

Melbourne duo Big Scary have been making beautiful music since 2006, giving us ten glorious years of inventive, dreamy and sometimes hypnotic indie pop. Mid way through their tour (October 5th) in support of their latest album, the band stopped by their home town to give the full house all they had.
Alexander Jackson from the Vintage Physics Crew got down and dirty for another date with the Triple J Live AT The Wireless team. What a great show!

The latest adventure out of the studio has taken Vintage Physics crewmen Alexander Jackson to The Palais Theatre to do a live recording of English indie teen heart throb Jake Bugg, for Triple J's Live At The Wireless program. Jake alongside his three bandmates, support band Blossoms and a seizable production crew have been trekking across the world this year like frenzied madmen and their hard work is paying off. After already playing Splendour In The Grass and a show in Sydney the band nailed each 3min 20second song like true professionals, sending the crowd into rapture. Nice work Jake!
Canadian progressive/djent metal band Sikarra released their first single recently and it's got us here at Vintage Physics a bit excited. The band, under the guidance of lead guitarist Taylor William Wright, explore the meaning of space and time in the most epic of ways. Mixed by Alexander Jackson from the Vintage Physics crew, the track Monolith gives the listener a glimpse of what is to come from these Canadian shredders. Follow the link and enjoy!
2015 ended on a high note after a truly amazing year. Live recordings with Parkway Drive and Birds Of Tokyo, building a new studio deluxe studio facility, recording at the Bendigo International Festival Of Experimental Music, mixing a single for Sikharra (a Canadian progressive metal act), producer Hypersleep brings it home with the Roxy "My Bikini" campaign, hitting South By Southwest in Austin and a whole heap more!
2016 is off to a great start with a live recording of Disclosure when they stopped by Melbourne recently. This year is going to be killer! We can feel it in out bones!
So It's been a few years in the making but our mates over at Northeast Party House dropped their debut album recently and boy, get on this! These guys are only getting better with time and help make us feel all warm and fuzzy about the state of Indie Pop in Oz. Big ups to Malcolm Besley and the gang on this excellently written, mixed and produced album.
Take a peak at the album here.
So last week, at some point, Hypersleep got some air-time on Triple J (an Australian national broadcaster). What's more it was picked up only two weeks after the EP was released into the world.
The narcissist in us wants to know how our mastering job came out over the airwaves. The Buddhist in us is happy that it even got there. Onwards and upwards!
